Firm Leaders

Starting his career in marketing for Teledyne, Andy got bit by the public service bug and changed direction by becoming a Special Agent with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Later, he was one of the charter members of the Office of Inspector General for the Tennessee Valley Authority. Today, he's returned to his roots and serves as the firm's 'company conscience'.
Andy researches issues, develops strategies and asks the tough questions of our clients. Because of his background, he not only knows what works, but more importantly, what doesn’t.
Andy is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and takes great pride in being an Eagle Scout.

You’ll often find Robin where the rubber meets the road. She’s a planner and a doer with our clients as well as within the community. A native Chattanoogan and tenth generation Tennesseean, Robin’s diverse career path began as a child abuse investigator, court administrator, congressional deputy chief of staff and partner in a statewide public affairs firm before opening the doors to the firm in January 2006. She enjoys relationships built over time throughout the region.
She’s been honored as a Chattanooga ‘Woman of Distinction’, Distinguished Service Award for her work in changing the culture of the Tennessee Human Rights Commission, and as ‘Outstanding Partner’ by the Partnership for Families Children and Adults.
She has co-chaired the leadership committee for the Mayor’s Women’s Council and has served on the executive committees of the Chattanooga Rotary Club, Children’s Advocacy Center, Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, The Partnership for Families, Children and Adults. Robin is the founder of the Hamilton County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program and also sits on the Chattanooga First Horizon Advisory Board.
She has served as chair of the Tennessee Human Rights Commission, member of the UTC Chancellor’s Roundtable and as vice chair of the Hamilton County Juvenile Court Commission. She was recently appointed to the Carter Street Corporation board by Mayor Tim Kelly.
When clients check their email for the first time in the morning, more often than not, there’s an email from Robin or a media link to information for their review. That’s just how she rolls.

Molly chose Chattanooga for her post-secondary education (Go, Mocs) and has considered the Scenic City her “elective hometown” ever since.
Having worked for several years in local news as a TV newscast director, assignment desk editor, and digital producer, Molly brings an eye for proactive media strategy to the office, and expertise in reactive planning. Most recently, she served in the Office of Mayor Tim Kelly as the mayor's senior executive assistant, honing in cross-sector collaboration and governmental affairs before returning to her roots as a story teller.
As a member of Chattanooga’s Rotaract and Protege Chattanooga (’26), Molly’s investment in Chattanooga’s story extends outside the office. You can find her at a live show or sporting event when she’s not working (and sometimes, even when she is).

Abigail brings a journalist’s eye for storytelling and a passion for connecting with an audience. She develops content strategies that support clients’ goals, crafts press releases and ensures every message hits the mark.
A first-generation student and Magna Cum Laude graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Abigail gained early experience in sports media both prior to and during college. She held roles as a reporter and host, and also gained experience in marketing and public relations. She moved to Chattanooga after graduation, working at a local TV news station as a multimedia journalist. She was part of award-winning teams recognized by the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters for Best Digital Media and Best Evening Newscast. Her background taught her how to spot a great story and tell it in a way that sticks.
When she isn’t spoiling her dog, Bailey, Abigail is getting ready for her next adventure. She likely has a concert on the horizon, a rodeo circled on the calendar and plenty to say about game day.

Gumbo is the first one in the door and usually the last to leave. She began her ‘in-office’ hours in the midst of COVID and is a valued and very polite member of our team. As the office hall monitor, she checks on each of us throughout the day and keeps a keen ear out for incoming guests. Have a team meeting scheduled with us? Better pull out an extra chair for Gumbo because she loves to join the action.
Due Diligence
Reputation is everything and Derryberry PR understands this better than anyone. That’s why we offer due diligence research to our clients. We know that there’s no quicker way for a deal to go sideways, for credibility to sink or for reputations to be ruined with the wrong associations. Let us put our reputation to work for you.
Exclusivity:
Because your Business Matters
Since opening our doors, we’ve always worked with only one client in any industry. The reason is pretty simple: trust matters. Our clients are confident knowing their strategies won’t be shared with competitors and that their information is held in confidence — even if the engagement ends. We believe that trust and integrity go hand in hand.
Strategies Based on Experience and Research
Many of our clients work in very unique industries. Because our team has had very diverse careers, we know “…a little bit about a lot of things.” We value the connections we’ve built over the years and know where and who to look to as we develop strategies. From Key West, Florida to Billings, Montana and aviation to zoos we have connections who will take our calls, offer industry insights and assist in making sure our clients are a success. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
